Alessio Sacco
I’m currently Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino, Italy at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN). In 2022, I obtained the PhD (cum laude) from Politecnico di Torino in Computer Engineering. I have always been passionate about computers and networks, and I enjoy studying how they work at every level.
My research journey blends exploration of new technologies, coding, writing, and reading — though not always in that order. I focus on computer networking and challenges related to next-generation networks, cloud infrastructure, and computing continuum. I am especially drawn to solving networking problems using algorithms and techniques from the AI/ML ecosystem, and if possible playing with LLMs.
Beyond technology, I have a deep appreciation for art — especially movies and music. I am fascinated by new challenges of any kind and approach each of them with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Join my group I’m always looking for motivated PostDocs, PhD students, and Master students. If you are a Polito student, don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are interested in working on a project beyond the ones listed in the projects portal.
